About South Gwent Ramblers
South Gwent Ramblers is a group of friendly folk who enjoy walking. We find that Gwent is blessed with marvellous scenery which is often overlooked in favour of the nearby mountains. Our walks can open your eyes to both Gwent and the mountains. We usually call ourselves the SGR.
There are walks almost every weekend all led by our volunteers.
On walks, dogs must be held on a short lead at all times. Before bringing a dog, you must always check with the walks leader that the walk is suitable for a dog.
Organising walks would be pointless if we didn't have footpaths, so we also help solve footpath problems and survey and clear footpaths.
We support Ramblers Association (RA) and their national campaigns and assist them when we can. The RA's Welsh site is full of information with a Welsh flavour.
If you are using a tablet (e.g iPad) or desktop computer and want more detailed information about South Gwent Ramblers try our full size site. You will be re-directed back here if you try to access the full site from a smartphone. The full site is too detailed to view comfortably on a smartphone.
